When the time comes to slip into my pyjamas at the end of the day, it's possibly one of my favourite moments. A moment dedicated all to myself, almost feeling like a pamper session. I find it rather relaxing, plus immediately after I get to take part in one of my favourite activities - sleeping.
The first step of my nightly beauty ritual is body focused, I layer on the L'Occitane foot cream with a pair of fluffy socks (a few times a week), L'Oocitane hand cream, and my current favourite and obsession, Kiehls Creme de Corps. It's extremely moisturising and the texture is to die for. However I mostly use this in the morning, but alternate most nights with L'Oocitane Supple Skin Almond Oil, which is also heavenly. Not too oily, feeling comfortable on the skin, which smells divine and leaves you waking in the morning with smooth, hydrated skin.
Next up it's all about the face. A quick spritz of Liz Earle Skin Tonic, injecting hydration as well as feeling refreshing, it leaves skin feeling less tight its feeling on the dry side. Depending on how my skins status, I might use a mask. I've been reaching for the Chantecaille Healing Mask. It's very gentle and I find it helps to soothe any redness. This is great as you can remove after about 5 minutes, or leave on over night as a more intense treatment. This usually occurs a couple times a week, but mostly I slather on one of my favourite face oils. At the moment I'm using the Jurlique Antioxidant Face Oil, I spend the majority of my days in polluted London, the antioxidant properties are highly appealing to me as they help to protect my skin from free radicals, encouraging my cells to renew.
In my personalised Birchbox acrylic draw I keep the little bits, my Nuxe Reve de Meil lip balm which I use every single night, without fail. Kiehls Midnight Recovery eye cream - ah-mazing. Along with some Aromatherapy Associates oils.
There it is, my bed time skincare routine all rolled into one post. Which products do you most enjoy using when it comes to bed time?
