The Skincare Tray #1

Wednesday, 30 January 2013

This little tray sits on my dressing table, consisting of some firm favourites that are a part of my daily regime, and usually a couple of new products that I'm putting to the test. Therefore, I thought I would start a new series to show you what's on there, with links to posts that feature them as well as introducing some newcomers to you. This isn't much of an informative series, more visual and gives you the opportunity to read about the products features. (links will be down below).

Eyeliner Routine

Sunday, 27 January 2013

This time around I'm showing you all how I create my daily eyeliner look. Probably my most requested video ever, only taken me two years to actually do it. Ooops! I'm using two new products in this one, and one that I've been using and really enjoying for a while. Highly recommend the eyeliner for anyone looking for a budget buy! Anyway, hope you enjoy the video and please leave any video requests down below. Remember to view on YouTube for links and extras!

Mad For Ole Henriksen

Friday, 25 January 2013

*Ole Henriksen Power Peel Kit, *Ole Henriksen Total Truth Eye Cream,
*Ole Henriksen Truth Is In The Eyes Peel

If there's one skincare brand that I have been going slightly cray cray (yes I did just say that) for recently, It's Ole Henriksen. A brand that I have only recently discovered in the last 4 months, but one that I'm extremely happy to introduce to my skincare regime. They are everything I expect from a brand, does what it says on the tin and are extremely effective. There are three different products that I've been using none stop, the Power Peel Kit, Truth Is in The Eyes Peel and the Total Truth Eye Cream.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

Wednesday, 23 January 2013

*Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

If theres one bold statement that I can make about mascaras is that I've never, ever owned a high-end one. Which is odd, seeing as I always opt for the more luxury brands. But, I've always been such a fan of high-street mascaras, you really can't go wrong with some of their quality, effectiveness and price.

Pre-shoot Skin Prep

Monday, 21 January 2013

*Freeze 24.7 Prep & Polish, *GlamGlow Tingling & Exfoliating Mud Mask,
*Origins Make A Difference Plus + Rejuvenating Treatment

Recently I was on my first ever photo-shoot, which was very exciting. Amongst the excitement, nervous feelings were present. Lots of things running through my head, one of those regarding my skin. I haven't got bad skin, but the first things I thought is to minimise any pores, smooth and brighten. So, I rustled through my draws and picked out three prep, perfect products to make me feel a little more confident and prepare my skin for the bright lights and HD cameras, yikes.

Saturday, 19 January 2013

*Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks L-R, 03, 09, 11, 17, 12, 07, 18, 14, 13, 10

One of my all time favourite (I don't have a lot of favourites) high-street brands have launched a fabulous new range of lipsticks. The range is called Rouge Edition and consists of 18 shades in total all divided into three families. First they have a selection call "Preppy" which is a toned down selection of neutrals. Next up is "Night Out" which is said to be their glamorous selection, which is built up with deep reds and plumb shades. Last but not least my favourite, "Colour Block" which consists of bright, eye catching shades.

Fearne Cottons Very SS13 Collection & Competition

Thursday, 17 January 2013

You all know that I'm a well known lover of all things beauty but, I'm very much into my fashion too and love seeing new pieces come out for the warmer months. For me it's that time of the year when I start exploring my wardrobe and mixing items up to get prepared for my favourite season of the year.

Below is a video showcasing Fearne Cottons brand new Spring/Summer13 range that she has designed for Very.co.uk - someones style I have always admired. I think the range reflects her personal style so much and that's what I love about it. It has that vintage, relaxed, cool vibe with some really wearable pieces that sum her up perfectly. My personal favourite? Has to be the pretty, floral dress with the adorable peter pan collar.

Wednesday, 16 January 2013

*Palette Eclat Face and Blush Powder (limited edition), Gloss Prodigue in Vibrant Rose (limited edition), *Joli Rouge Brilliant in Watermelon, *Rouge Eclat in Tropical Pink, *Rouge Eclat in
True Aubergine

It's that exciting time of the year, It's spring soon (I say this as it snows outside) and the SS13 make-up collections are making their way onto the counters. There have been a couple that have really caught my eye, especially this beautiful one that Clarins have pulled together. You can always trust Clarins to produce beautiful products that you lust after as soon as your eyes are set. I have a few bits that I want to share with you, and some of my personal favourites from the Spring 2013 collection. The collection is inspired by the Iris flower - it's multi, colourful shades and the soft satin feel to touch. Which really translates well into the products, the textures and colours are spot on. Whether you want to create a fresh faced look or pull together a dramatic look they have all the products down to a T.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm, *African Botanics Neroli Infused Marula Oil, *La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

During the last month or so I haven't been the most kind to my skin, In December I indulged a little too much and let the stressful time get to me. However, saying that I've found these products have been perfect and an absolute treat to my skin, one particularly has really stood out.

New Things #2

Saturday, 12 January 2013

Diorskin Nude BB Cream in 03, Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight

The January blues have hit. I'm feeling a little groggy, a few pounds heavier and all I've done for the last month is buy other people gifts, so I thought it was the perfect time for a little therapy on Bond Street.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Chintz

Sunday, 6 January 2013

*Chanel Chintz Lipstick

It's my first dabble with Chanel lipsticks and I decided to go for Chintz, the perfect peachy pink that feels extremely lightweight and comfortable on the lips. Although recently I have been opting for a bold lip, whenever I want to tone it down with a nude I'm drawn towards this one.

Friday, 4 January 2013

The Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Moringa Cleansing Balm is my favourite beauty discovery of the year. It's perfection in a tub, heavenly and luxurious. From the smell to how it makes my skin feel, every step is enjoyable, satisfying and feels like a mini spa treatment.
