Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight, *Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, MAC Melba Blusher, Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzer

The #2 episode of my make-up picks series is a bit of a shopping the stash edition, I've run out of a few products and instead of turning to the counters I had a rummage to see what I already had and as a result I've definitely fallen back in love with a few.

A recent purchase of mine is the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial powder in Candlelight, can I quickly say the name candlelight is spot on, and describes it perfectly. It offers a light golden, subtle sheen which looks beautiful. It's fair to say I'm addicted and have been wearing it daily... Sorry Dior Amber Diamond. It's especially suitable in this rut of dull weather we have at the moment.

For my base I've been reaching for Bourjois Healthy Mix, one I used to turn too for running errands when I knew I wouldn't be wearing makeup that long. Simply because of its ease of application, generous coverage and healthy finish. However, since running out of my trusty Armani Luminous Silk I have restrained from re-purchasing, just yet, and have been using this every single day. I've been getting quite a lot of compliments too! People are constantly asking me what I'm wearing and it's all thanks to this.

Another shopping the stash product is MAC Melba blush, can you believe I was so close to selling this one day? Having not used it in a year, I thought I had moved on, until my friend Laura convinced me it was beautiful. I decided to try it again, and it was love all over again (thanks Laura) It provides such warmth to my skin and I think really compliments my skin tone.

Bronzer wise, I forced myself to stop using my Dior Nude Bronzer and went back (once again) to Soleil Tan De Chanel. I always seem to use this, love it, move onto something else and forget how much I love it. It's the perfect creamy product to add colour, warmth and definition as well as making you look that little more flawless. I adore it, possible "holy grail".

  9. I don't know why, but I just hate healthy mix foundation. Maybe it's because of my skin type or maybe i have seen better and CHEAPER ones. ;)

  10. Ive been wondering how KA Celestial would compare to Dior amber diamond! Is it a lot more subtle? I'd be really impressed, I find Dior to have a pretty tiny shimmer particle as is.

    1. They are both very fine, but the texture of KA is softer and it applies nicely. Also, because its a very light golden shade, it looks a lot more natural rather than the bronze and cool shades from AD :) xo

  13. I love Healthy Mix - I use their 10 hour sleep effect (or something...)on those not really doing much sorts of days. It makes my skin look AMAZING and so fresh ... but it really doesn't last that long and doesn't look the same with a primer :(
