Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm, *African Botanics Neroli Infused Marula Oil, *La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

During the last month or so I haven't been the most kind to my skin, In December I indulged a little too much and let the stressful time get to me. However, saying that I've found these products have been perfect and an absolute treat to my skin, one particularly has really stood out.

Lets start of with Emma Hardie, you all probably know by now that I adore this cleanser. I've been using it for the past 5 or more months and can't imagine ever using anything else. It gives my skin everything it needs, I won't go on too much about it because I dedicated a whole post to this luxurious product here. I've just found it's kept my skin in good nick and deserved a mention seeing as I just purchased this supersize tub from QVC, pretty impressive eh?

Going on to a new discovery which has quickly become my favourite face oil that I look forward to using every single night. This African Botanics Neroli Infused Marula Oil is a cold pressed, light textured oil that sinks extremely easily into the skin. It holds only two ingredients - Neroli and Marula oil which are packed with fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamin E and vitamin C - these help with cell renewal, scarring, protect and intensively hydrate your skin. I use two pumps of this at night and it's an absolute dream to use, It has a sweet smell which is pleasant and not too sickly. In the morning I've found that it has softened, hydrated my skin as well as reduced scarring which I've been trying to shift for a while. The oil is so light you could use it in the morning and lock it in with a moisturiser. So I would definitely recommend it to someone that suffers with dry skin and finds it difficult to keep their skin hydrated throughout the day.

The next product is something that everyone seems to be raving about, La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. For a while I had been suffering with a few acne type spots on my cheeks and with the added christmas stress, you can only imagine... I always used products that seemed to work, but 3 days later they would appear again. There I was going round in circles. But, since using this every morning under my moisturiser I haven't had any spots reappear on my cheeks and my skin feels less congested. It hasn't really helped with black heads which I hoped it would have, but I'm really impressed that it's seemed to calm and keep my skin at bay.

You can purchase the Emma Hardie Cleansing balm QVC - they always have great offers, to keep your eyes peeled! African Botanics Neroli Infused Marula oil from Space NK and La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo from Boots.

  1. That oil sounds divine. I will have to search for it to see where I can get it from. I have used the Effaclar Duo for years and it is a faithful product. The whole Effaclar range is fantastic in general if your skin is acne-prone. Lovely post! x

  2. I've been dying to try the Emma Hardie line. I haven't found it anywhere in Canada, so I might have to order online if I become desperate enough. I used to have the Effaclar Duo and it worked so well, but I need to repurchase since I've been dealing with some breakouts. Glad to hear that its working on yours, but if you find a solution for the pesky blackheads let us know, I'd love to get rid of them. haha. been trying for years and they don't tend to go anywhere. :(

    1. It's a gorgeous cleanser, I think you would really enjoy it :) ahh I'm glad yo hear it worked for you in the past, in regards to blackheads the only products that have seemed to help mine. And when I say help, I mean reduce the size and amount, I've never been able to completely get rid of them. But, the products that help are ones with AHA's in - Alpha H Liquid Gold, Dermalogica Renewal Booster, Ole Henriksen Power Peel etc! Try some products like that :) x

    1. :) Personally yes. I love the Liz Earle cleanse and polish, I used it for a long time! I think it's a good way to start skincare with LE but as you get older and your skin changes its nice to change your skincare to something more suiting. I've personally found that my skin has changed a lot more from using the Emma Hardie and I enjoy using it more too! If you want to keep LE in your routine, I personally think its a nice one to use in the morning and use the Emma Hardie in the evening. Some people don't like using rich products in the morning, but I do because my skin is dry prone and I'm pretty addicted to it :) xo
