True Aubergine
It's that exciting time of the year, It's spring soon (I say this as it snows outside) and the SS13 make-up collections are making their way onto the counters. There have been a couple that have really caught my eye, especially this beautiful one that Clarins have pulled together. You can always trust Clarins to produce beautiful products that you lust after as soon as your eyes are set. I have a few bits that I want to share with you, and some of my personal favourites from the Spring 2013 collection. The collection is inspired by the Iris flower - it's multi, colourful shades and the soft satin feel to touch. Which really translates well into the products, the textures and colours are spot on. Whether you want to create a fresh faced look or pull together a dramatic look they have all the products down to a T.
I've been having a play with some of the lip products from their collection and I'm especially drawn to their brand new Rouge Eclat range, which will become permanent. I have shades Tropical Pink which is a bright yellow toned pink and True Aubergine which is a true plum shade. I'm really impressed - Perfectly opaque, with a beautiful sheen finish which is ultra flattering on the lips, plus, they feel very comfortable and light. Not to go without mentioning that they have benefits behind them which makes them nourishing and protecting with their Vitamin E properties. Another lipstick I have here is from their Joli Rouge Brilliant line - I have shade Watermelon. It's a hybrid between a lipstick, balm and a gloss. In a lipstick form, sheer like a balm and has the shiny finish you achieve with a gloss.
Moving onto my favourite product out of the bunch, Palette Eclat Face and Blush Powder. A beautiful powder made up of flesh, pink and peach tones. This is the perfect product for creating a pretty, typical spring look - I use the flesh tone to set tinted moisturiser and a sweep of the pinky peach shades on my cheeks. There you have it, perfectly matte, natural looking skin with flush of pink. It's honestly so beautiful and compliments another personal favourite, the Rouge Eclat in Tropical Pink when used together.

That blush is beautiful, it's gonna take a whole lot of self restraint for me not to buy it!

Ahh they're pretty. Clarins have amazing packaging although I can imagine it being a bit tricky to pick out just the pink shades in the face palette. The lipsticks look lovely though!
