Just recently the weather has taken a turn for the worst and as a result my skin has been suffering. In the winter my skin is on the Normal/Dry side so I have switched up some products in my skincare regime to adjust to the change.
Christmas Gifts at Selfridges
Sunday, 28 October 2012
The other day I hopped on the train to Bond Street, London, to have a sneak peek at some of the amazing gifts that Selfridges have to offer this Christmas. The event was beautiful and got me extremely excited for my favourite time of the year. The gifts are definitely a little pricey and more on the luxurious side, so it's perfect if you want to treat that special someone. I would actually recommend just popping in there to have a look this time of the year because it's so pretty, and the food hall is to die for. The majority of these gifts are exclusive to Selfridges.Game Over

Jacket: Gina Tricot Olga Jacket
Jeans: Topshop Leigh
Boots: Topshop Ambush
This has to be my favourite type of outfit. It's super comfortable and I'm obsessed with this Cheap Monday t shirt and biker jacket combination. I think it's the colour of the t shirt and the faux leather that just go so well together! The jacket is new, I was on the hunt for one for ages. I didn't want to end up getting one that everyone else had so I decided on this one from Gina Tricot, It's a Swedish brand that is extremely good value for money. I was also really impressed with their service, arrived within 3 days which I think is pretty fab. Then of course my Topshop jeans, I practically live in these. Although I want to try the AA easy jeans next, a little more pricey but I think will be a good investment.
Feet Pampering Essentials
Tuesday, 23 October 2012
Lush Ocean Salt Facial Scrub, *Weleda Skin Food, L'Oocitane Foot Cream
If there's one thing I think we all neglect sometimes, is our tootsies! Just recently I have really been getting into pampering my hardworking feet (too much walking around london in heels isn't the best thing for them). I don't know about you but I think it's important to have preened and polished feet, there is nothing worse then dry flakey heals, ew! Wearing certain shoes has led to the skin on the balls of my feet become damaged, dry and I did neglect them over the summer. But, I have discovered some lovely products to maintain them and have thoroughly enjoyed introducing this routine into my many other beauty regimes. I do this routine around 3 times a week and often before I go to sleep or if I know I'm going to be in the house all day.

Chantecaille Le Stylo Eyeliner in Black £25.00 from Space NK
Recently I've been trying a favourite eyeliner of the gorgeous Millie Mackintosh. Eyeliner is something that I'm huge on, I feel pretty weird and naked without it so its a must. I love the retro feel it gives and the fact you can make it wearable for day and evening looks. I have tried many eyeliners in the past on my quest to find the perfect one. I'm particularly keen on felt tip liners - the ease of application is extremely attractive! So when Millie Mackintosh recommended this one to me I just had to get my hands on it. Anything Milly says, goes!
Ojon Counters in Boots
Boots has to be one of my favourite places to pick up beauty essentials. They have a huge range of growing budget and luxury brands and with their advantage card system in place it's a no brainer really. Thats why I'm extremely excited that one of my favourite haircare brands Ojon is now in Boots meaning its more readily available for all of us.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Good Morning Retexturizing Primer

*Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Good Morning Retexturizing Primer
When it comes to primers I've always been torn, I like silicone based ones because they create a fantastic base for make-up application, smoothing and evening everything out slightly. However I have always found them to be on the heavy side. Whereas lightweight liquid primers offer the longevity but never seem to have the properties to smooth out your skin. This is where this product comes in...

Clarisonic Mia 2 Launch & My Thoughts So Far
Thursday, 4 October 2012
The other week I got to preview the launch of the Clarisonic Mia 2. This is a tool I have been curious about for about a year now. It took the blogging community by storm, the reviews and what people had been saying about it makes it sound incredible. However, It came with a hefty price tag of around £120 which I could never justify spending just incase it didn't work for me.
The way in which the Mia 2 is different from the original Mia is that it now has two settings. You're average setting and another which is slightly stronger, great to use on problem areas where there might be some congestion. The Mia 2 costs £130 and is exclusive to Space NK until December, then it will be available to you nationwide.
A trip to Beauty Mart, Harvey Nichols...
Tuesday, 2 October 2012
Nestled on the third floor of Harvey Nichols, London there is a new shopping experience for us beauty addicts called the Beauty Mart. I like to think of it as a mix between a boutique and your dream dressing room. They stock the best selling products from brands, some exclusive that you can't find anywhere else in the UK. The shelves are brimmed with skincare, hair care and accessories. Whilst the fixtures in the middle with lit up mirrors are full of makeup, adding that feeling that you're browsing through a dressing table. With it being founded by Millie Kendall (of Ruby & Millie cosmetics!) and Anne-Marie Solowij, previous beauty editor of Vogue it makes the shopping experience much more exciting and pleasurable. After all we trust expert industry insiders opinions on products and the fact they stock products that they personally have tried, tested and love it feels a lot more comforting and gives you more confidence when buying.Jessica French UK Style & Beauty All rights reserved © Blog Milk Powered by Blogger
