This year I attended the Cosmopolitan Blow Awards as a +1, I wanted to wear something that had a party feel but I didn't want to be too over the top. In the end I went for this gold luxe grunge style skater dress from Rare, and I love it! To dress it down a little I paired it with my Topshop Mighty boots, which are lovely because they have a little heel but are still comfortable at the same time. Then of course to finish it off I put on my faux leather biker jacket from H&M. I've rolled up the sleeves to make it look more casual. I actually wore my hair down, but decided at the end of the night it looked much better up, just because it's nice to see the detail of the belt, top of the dress and how the jacket falls at the front. My makeup was quite out there too so It brings attention to that. I went for a deep red lip (Diva by MAC) and a strong winged liner, I really enjoyed wearing a red lip! I will definitely be wearing it more throughout the AW/12 months. If you would like I might do a separate post on the beauty side of things.
