Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation £35.00, Chantecaille Just Skin Anti-Smog Tinted
Moisturiser £57.00, Burberry Eye Definer in Midnight Brown £15.50
Just recently I felt like treating myself to some luxury items and seeing as I have just graduated from university with 2:1 I thought why not splurge a little and award myself! I have justified each purchase... promise.
Having just finished my Jemma Kidd Light as Air and it being extremely hard to buy at the moment, I picked up the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation. I was needing a foundation for nights out that doesn't contain any SPF, I have been wearing this daily too just adding an SPF moisturiser so I have that protection. This is just temporary until I can get Jemma Kidd again. I got this in Selfridges after trying a sample for a couple of weeks! I instantly fell in love, one of the best foundations I have ever tried. Medium coverage, long lasting with a natural yet luminous finish. I know this foundation isn't for everyone so I urge you to try a sample first. The lady that served me in Selfridges, London is really lovely and helpful, she is usually there on weekdays so I definitely recommend popping in. The shade I have is 6.5 which is great for summer when I'm tanning.
The Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturiser was a bit of a must have purchase after the mini heatwave here in England. For the first week I wore foundation and could not bear it, I love my coverage but was lusting after a product that would give me good coverage but feel light on the skin. This is exactly what I was looking for. For a tinted moisturiser it gives great coverage whilst feeling comfortable on my skin, letting my freckles show through which I'm really liking. Yes, its very expensive but it does have added skincare benefits such as antioxidants and anti-pullution properties, which is very suiting seeing as I'm currently interning full time in London! The shade I own is Wheat, once again perfect for the summer months.
The last product is something I picked up in the John Lewis beauty hall, the Burberry counter is amazing and the MUA's in there are lovely! I was after after a product I could quickly apply in the morning that will still give me definition, yet look relaxed and effortless. This colour was recommended to me which is called Midnight Brown, it really compliments my green eyes and blonde hair. The other great thing about this product is that its long lasting and comes with a sharpener.
Anyone else had a little splurge recently?
