Hey lovelys! I have my first ever photographed outfit post for you today, I hope you enjoy it and let me know your thoughts :)
This is a gorgeous piece from a brand that I have recently discovered called Dahlia, they have a range of pieces and lots of bits that have a vintage feel which I absolutely love and regular readers of my blog will know I adore vintage. I personally have my eye on their selection of stunning layered maxi dress's.
This burgundy chiffon heart print dress is not something I would usually go for because its very girly with the print, cut and style, but I have to say I have fallen in love with it. Burgundy is one of my favourite colours for A/W11. I think you will all agree its a gorgeous colour, it goes especially well with the fabric. It feels really nice to wear and It would be perfect for the party season and will definitely be my christmas day dress! I have teamed the it with thick black tights to make it more casual, my Topshop Allegras & faux leather biker jacket from H&M to add an edge to it, making it more 'me'. It has the prettiest pleated detail on the chest with gold buttons. It definitely has a vintage vibe to it!
Now, I have spent a lot of money already on my Autumn/Winter wardrobe this year but... I'm just a girl and I'm always going to want more, here are the latest items that I have my eyes on ;)
Knitted Snowflake Cardigan - I'm after a festive looking cardigan or jumper this year and I think this may well be the one! I also love the fur trim giving it a bit of glamour, adding a little something extra. You could also wear this with absolutely anything too!
Slouchy Jersey Top - I already own this in a purple/red shade and oh my... it is extremely comfortable, flattering and versatile. You can dress it up or down. But I personally love to wear it casual with my Topshop Leigh jeans, allegra boots & a nice chunky cardigan or biker jacket.
Over the Knee Ribbed Socks - These are just a perfect addition to an outfit layered over tights with a skirt or dress. Keeping you cosy and adding a little something to your outfit.
Velvet Tunic - This dress for me says christmas all over it. Velvet it a huge trend for Autumn/Winter and I'm so glad the high street have made so many velvet affordable pieces. Velvet for me is quite a dramatic trend and fabric so the style of this being quite girly is just perfect and balances it out nicely.
Red Contrast Blazer - This blazer is just amazing. I have featured it in a previous post, thats how much I love it! I adore the deep berry colour with the heritage look. This would just look perfect with my Topshop Leigh Jeans, a basic jersey tee and of course my trusty Allegras!
Black & White Authentic Vans - They don't really go with anything else listed, apart from the batwing top but... I just absolutely love Vans, they are comfortable, practical and I just love the look of them. I have white ones that I wore constantly through the summer, now that its winter I think its the right time to get some black ones. These will be perfect for them days where I can't really be bothered to think about what I'm wearing, yet I still want to look good at the same time. I'd probably style these with spandex leggings/disco pants from American Apparel and a slouchy sweatshirt.
Heyy everyone :) I hope you're all good! I have my october favourites for you, yes its a little late but oh well ;) I also seem to be shouting at the camera at the start, no idea why haha! Anyway I hope you enjoy :) Also hello to all new followers and welcome!
Leighton Denny is my absolute favourite brand for nail polish. I discovered them after a night on the sofa watching QVC with my mum, extremely sad I know ;) Ever since then I have been in love! The quality, packaging, range of colours and reasonable price range is something that is very appealing to me. Not only that, they are extremely strong in colour and sometimes find I don't need to apply a second coat, which is a bonus as painting my nails is a bit of a chore for me. Which also brings me to tell you all how well they last on the nails, I would say they roughly last 5-7 days which is amazing as it means I do not need to re-apply so much.
I have been on the hunt for my Autumn/Winter colours for this year and this one I want to show you today has to be my favourite. A gorgeous deep creamy berry purple, although the picture doesn't do it much justice looking more of a berry red. Its very true to colour from the bottle. This shade is called "Crushed Grape" another thing I love about Leighton Denny are the names they give to their polish's. I never really saw a lot of Leighton Denny in the blogging community, but recently they were introduced into the October Glossy Box, and I'm sure because of that they will become very popular with the beauty obsessed.
Just a little heads up: I say it last 5-7 days. This is if you prep your nails by buffing, base coat and top coat, two thin layers of nail polish (the thinner the better) and basic things like wearing gloves during washing up and generally taking care of your nails etc.
Have you tried any Leighton Denny polish's, if so what are your favourites?
Something has come over me recently and I have grown a massive love for anything tailored. I have fallen in love with these three pieces. Starting with the red one, I love the deep red colour contrasting against the black detailing around the neck and the style that will probably make me look like I'm about to go horse riding... But thats what I love about it. Its meant to be fitted but I would probably buy it in a size 12 just so its a little oversized. Then where do I start with the other two?! They are gorgeous and I love the heritage theme, a trend that is huge for A/W12. I just think that blazers are a really nice replacement for a cardigan, or jumper. They just add a little something and could transform a very plain outfit. They are all from River Island which is a plus because I could get my staff discount which will help me, a lot! What do you think?
